What's the Harm in Pokémon?

Today, I went searching for a picture of Pikachu, the cute little Pokémon character. I wanted to use it for an-anti Pokémon graphic - but what I found made me sick to my stomach.

This child-sized version of Magic The Gathering is a role-playing game that is full of magic spells and violence - heaped with an unhealthy dose of "buy me", "buy me","buy me" (materialism). Those things are bad enough, and I have other articles about that, but I found out some new things today...

I found out that the first words (and repeated later) of the actual translated theme song is:

I'll go through flames, flood, weeds, forests
The soil, clouds, and under the skirt of the girl (Scream)

I shouldn't HAVE to comment on THAT. Satan loves to get us to think of bad things, and embarrassing others. So, WHAT OTHER REASON could there be for THAT to be the first line of a Pokémon Theme song!? None.

Also, I used Hotbot.com and typed in Pikachu and hit search. The FIRST link in the list had this description:

A site about the Japanese anime and game, Pokémon. Includes lots of info, news, sounds, pictures and more.

Sounded perfect, surely I'd find a picture there, so I clicked on it. It took me to a site on Geocities that wasn't complete yet, but this is what WAS there.

Here is a kid that LOVES Pokémon and Pikachu enough to begin building a web page for it, and his/her screen name is "suicidal_dreams"!

Don't kid yourself. Satan excels at hiding behind wonderful and innocent looking images. It seems to me he is hiding behind the cute graphics and fun of Pokémon to lure you and your friends closer for destruction. "suicidal_dreams" is too blinded now to see that it is Satan supplying those dreams of suicide. This person is being DEVOURED! Is it JUST Pokémon? Probably not. "Pro-Wrestling", rock music, comic books and violent games are all BAIT and potential tools of destruction. But Pokémon IS as dangerous as any of the above!

We are called to fight, but not with cute, imaginary, fuzzy cartoon creatures. We fight a spiritual battle. - Are you winning or losing? Are you kidding yourself? Here is God's solution for fighting and being the winner... and it doesn't include a shiny, red/white ball!

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Be wise, look and think! Avoid toys, movies, tv shows, comic books, games, etc. that are full of magical creatures, magical powers, violence, and spells or curses.
